How-To: Prepare for Your One-Night Stand
When you’re setting up a one-night stand with a woman you met online, don’t make the mistake of thinking that there’s nothing you need to do to prepare. You have to be ready in advance before the date even starts.
First, take care of the basics.
The basics of preparing for a one-night stand shouldn’t be news to anyone. You want to have sex, so you should make sure that you’re ready to do that without putting anyone off.
Shower, shave, and do whatever other business will make you smell like a guy girls want to go home with. This isn’t rocket science, but men still neglect it all the time.
If you’re going to meet up with this woman after work, or for some other reasons that you can’t shower right before, make sure you’re still smelling fresh. Deodorant is your friend. Take some with you to work if you have to. Better yet, see if you can push your date back half an hour to give yourself time to go home and wash.
This is really the very first step of preparing to get lucky on any given evening. It may be a pain, but it’s important to respect the woman you’re going to hook up with. Being prepared like an adult is going to help with that impression.
Second, make sure you won’t do the walk of shame.
You’re a grown-ass man, not a stupid college student. You don’t need to be dealing with stupid college student problems. The walk of shame is definitely one of them.
If you don’t know what it is, the walk of shame refers to that sad early-morning exit when you’re still in your rumpled clothes from the night before, trudging home. Everyone can see that you’ve been partying all night, and equally can see that you didn’t plan to stay over.
Plan to stay over. Have an overnight bag. Pack any essential toiletries, as well as a full change of clothes. They don’t have to be your best, pressed clothes, but they should look decent enough that you wouldn’t be ashamed to walk around outside wearing them.
Keep this bag in your car, and make sure you’re around your car for the whole evening. You’re an adult, so act like one.
Third, pack a bag full of everything fun you’ll need.
Packing a bag isn’t just a way to avoid the walk of shame. It can also be a great way to make sure you’re going to have an amazing night.
First, pack protection. You DO want to use a condom if you’re going to be having sex with this woman. She might have an STI she doesn’t even know about, let alone the ones she might know about that she isn’t telling you.
Pack more condoms than you think you’ll need. It’s always better to be over-prepared than under-prepared. Pack a few boxes, and you’ll never be caught between needing to go to the store and wanting to start the sex right away in the future.
